I posted these on another forum and thought I'd post them here as well. Crits welcomed.

Nice renders, but dang, that TV looks out of place. :p

I second that TV thing, plus it seems a bit big propotionally.

Weird how the room looks almost identical to my great-grandma's house!

Oh, another suggestion: apply a sepia tone (or something) to the photograpy on the far wall in the first render, to make it look more aged.

I think it you got the basics very good, but there is in my opinion something wrong with the lighting.

If it is the sunlight that comes in through the windows, the lamp would not be as bright as the sun! Also the sun would be quite white and the lamp would be more yellow, so the color temerature is a bit off.

I think you got 85% of the way, but you could get all the way by paying a bit more attention to lighting, thatīs my opinion anyway.

keep up the good work!

Well, it's evening, so the sunlight would be weaker and warmer.

One really good thing about the lighting is how you've managed to light up the inside of the lampshade realistically - how did you do this?

As already suggested, a little work on the rest of the lighting is needed but once sorted this will be an awesome render!
