We need to be able to animate the FP_Gamma.
LW is an animator software not a Still-Image Processor.

Having a static Gamma for an animation means nothing.
You cant have static Gamma nowadays with HDR Image Processing.

Development of this is very easy and it doesnt disturb other parts of LW.
Please give it some priority.
Its little things like that, that give great satisfaction to many people

More than agree... as always! :)

How many times we've asked for a more extensive use of envelopes?

I feel like I've read this before .... ;)

I agree, this would be very useful.

Why not do it in post?

I am doing it in post, after the rendering is over, I load the image sequence in LW and treat it with ImageFilters :stumped:

Why I dont do this in a compositing app ? Good question.

I am trying to adjust HDR dynamically for two regions in the same scene.
And unavoidably this involves surfacing for two light situations and a lot of tweaking. This requires surfacing when Gamma=0.66 and then surfacing the rest when Gamma=1

Its not a simple Brightness/Contrast adjustment or HSV, so I need Dynamic Gamma during the surfacing process

Hey Panikos,
This has been an included feature in LW since 5.5 at least...

I'm not sure if you know of it...
Wavefilter Imagefilter - ColorTab - Gamma (default 2.2) it's envelopable.

It's possible to write another plugin, but it's already included, unless i misunderstand you...

Hope it helps!

Hey RedBull, thank you :)

I will have to check if it respects Full Precision,
Wavefilter carries a long story with an adventure at the end

No worries,
Yes Wavefilter was quite a story, with a sad ending....
WaveFilter Volume etc were never ported.. Like so many good 5.6 features

Although at least the source is their there!
I'd love to see more Open source projects, like that....

Blender is making us look silly... ;)

For sure.
Then I have to hold my tongue about Wave Filter. :goodluck:
