View Full Version : LW models 2 MAYA with multiple UVs,how??

If *.obj only supports one set of UVs,how can i transfer one with more from LW to MAYA?

Export it twice, first with one UV set loaded in the diffuse channel and then with the second UV set loaded. In Maya, copy and paste the UVs from one object to the other, to a second channel.

You can set all your UV in one UV map with UVcopy/UVpast.
It's an other solution but you will have an UV view very messy.

First unweld evry thing.
Select your UV map.
In the UV view, lasso select all your UV in one stroke.
Use UVcopy.
Select again the same way once again as UVcopy unselect all.
Select the UVmap you want to merge inside and use UVpast.
Weld what you need.

You can repeat this for more than 2 UVmaps.

You should consider purchasing point oven. it does it without problems as it has a lwo importer, that supports multiple uv maps. works like charm. also cool plugin to exchange animation between the two apps. you should give it a try.
