Not entirely VT related

I have a Sony trv27 w/ a stereo mic plug in power mini plug (1ccd) and need to use one of these two.

Which one would you recommend and/or have work with? Not sure if one brand is better than the other or they are about the same.

Beacktek

This costs runs around $149-169

Me personally...... I'd want the camera mounted unit. I shot news for years with a battery belt and there's nothing more frustrating than being tethered and having to disconnect when putting the camera down. And with a cable that small, I bet you'll either pull the plug right out of the cable or dump the camera on the floor the first time you put the camera down and attempt to walk away. :o

i would also go with the Beach Tek model. Transformer inputs and the mic/line option are much more flexible. Well worth the difference in price.
