What is the best and cheepest program to convert Tagra files to AVI? I have been using Screamernet and now need to compile the files to an AVI format.

Thanks
Dave.

you shuld be able to get an old version of adobe premiere for very cheap - DivX uses installed codecs. Look for a version of 4.2 or something.

saw this on UK ebay -

You could also just use Lightwave to save the image sequence into the .AVI

Just load the image sequence in the Image Editor, then press CTRL + F7 For Compositing and select the Image Sequence as the Background Image.
Go to your cameras properties set the size you want to render to.
Next go to Render options, click output Files, Animation File type in name of animation.
Type .AVI Options DivX Codec Configure to set your options [PRO gives you more of course] Press OK, OK Again, Close out Render Properties.
Press F10.

It will finish pretty quickly usually at .1 seconds per frame. If you are looking for batch style then might have to purchase something like Cleaner.

Hi,

Your best bet is VirtualDub, and it's free! you can get the standard version from here:

www.virtualdub.org

There's also a version that reads MPEG-2 files and you can download it from here:

http://www.free-codecs.com/VirtualDub-MPEG2_download.htm

Tell me how it goes.
