As the title says, I need an free exporter to .X . Is there anyone that you found works well? And how does subpatching look after it has been exported? And lastly, does anyone know why an exporter to .X isn't included with LW? Thanks in advance

Well, there is one from DStorm (Layout/ Modeler) and I think there is also another free one (Modeler only). AS for some reasons, why there is none included:

a) LW is still rather weak on games and stuff needed for them.

b) There are differences in versions between older DirectX titles and newer ones. Perhaps simply no one was willing to take the time for the many options and possibilities (vertex shaders etc.) and even a simple geometry translator was too much to ask for.

Your SubDs will of course be frozen and triangulated. In the worst case your mesh won't export at all or only the cage will be used.
