Hi Guys. I really like the Riven/Myst games and these pictures are inspired by the great artwork in those games. If you haven't played them yet get them. Riven in particular. C&C welcome. :)

Hey, really nice job, like the 1st one the best because of the light. You have that atmosphere together...would like to see you do more with the same ambiance but with realistic architecture if you know what I mean...

Very nicely done. I too really like the atmosphere you've created. Textures are top notch.

Agree about the texturing. Layered procedurals?

Haven't played/seen the game(s) as I'm not really into that type of game (give me pacman and asteroids any day!) so can't say whether it's a likeness - but the atmosphere is very fantasy-like.

Are the clouds real or did you make/paint them yourself?

Thanks guys,

The sky is a picture and the textures are a mix of photo and procedurals. :)

Looks great! I was wondering if you could share a wireframe and maybe your lighting setup. Great texturing too.

Looks like Riven/Myst to me! I love it.

If it's not too complicated, how'd you do the water?

Thanks guys. Glad you like it. The water is just a plane with bump mapping and texturing. The lighting is one distance light with Monte Carlo Rad. The shadow was rendered with an area light and comped back in to the final image. Here are some wires for your viewing pleasure.
