I've been having a break from my usual routine and having a crack at some of my favorate saber designs that I have collected over the years.

If I remember correctly I got hold of the concept sketches for these hilts from the Replica Props Forum - so If Anyone can put a name to the actual design that would be helpful for me to give design credit.

I managed to make 3 of them this evening and now I'm waiting for the Fprime rad renders to finish.

Here the first one rendered for your enjoyment:

Here are some renders of the second hilt : much more simplistic this one - but still quite elegant I thought :)

STAR WARS RULES! :p

but could you explain how you have made that shiny reflecting metal on the second picture becuase im making a house (already have the house) with all kinds of cool things in it (some motion designer stuff and mirrors! (also some other things but...)

It would really help me

I realy like youre lightsabers but where is the beam??

here's another very simplistic design I left rendering whilst I slept last night - I'm certain the concept artist was inspired by Smith and Wesson somewhere with this one

I'll be making some hardcore variants of the Vader type saber over the next few days that caught my eye

This one was whipped up tonight - looks like a version of the kenobi saber in design to me

I'll hopefully get round to doing some activated renders when i finish building them all

Awesome designs! I especially love the last one! Can you provide a link to the place you got the sketches?

Here are a couple I did:

Excellent renders, every single one. My favourite design is the fourth one down I think, but the last one is very cool as well.

I would also like to see one turned on!

Is there a link to the replica props forum? Sounds interesting....

Adrian.

P.S. Has anyone seen the trailer to Episode 3? What is with that idiot in the first 30 seconds of it? It's got nothing to do with the film itself and it isn't funny.... the film looks as if it's going to be awesome.... back to the Star Wars of my generation!

I liked that squarish saber - almost like a Nokia phone! :)
