Lightwave 3D Character Animation at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1556220995/qid=1113245082/sr=2-5/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_5/103-3990307-0068646)

I know of the books author, he's a big name in 3D art and animation with Lightwave. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about this book, chapter list, etc.?

If you go over to Kurv Studio's site you can ask the author directly:

He goes by the handle "Amahdi"

I went to the local Border's and checked it out. the only reason I didn't buy it is, I didn't have the $50 on me. I'm not advanced enough to start character animation, but from my thumb through, it looks like a must have for me.

I almost always have dificulties thinking of a good present for my birthday. This year however I asked for lightwave books. And guess what,... I got two of em :D

Anyway I've read through most of the book Lightwave 3D Character Animation. And I for one think it's great book! Especially if you're not experienced with character animation, like me.
It's all very detailed and almost every step comes with a picture. The book comes with a cd that has many extras like plugins, sample movies, all scenes & objects, nice videodemos about worley 's fprime and about 40 awesom free(?) objects created by William "Proton" Vaughan.

I haven't read that many books about animation, but if you want to get into it, I really do think this is the book you want.

Thanks. Think I'll take a dive as it's at a good price at Amazon.com.

Hehe, I think it's a tad too expensive as a present ;)

But yeah it sounds like it's a great plugin, especially the latest 1.5 release.... sigh... oh well, there's always next year.
