View Full Version : amoeba-oid shapes how best to

What would be the easiest way to draw flat amoeba-oid shapes for such things as this kids pool tube shoot?

Pen tool works but does not make nice curves at least not without click-in a lot. Spline draw gives me a nice curve but no poly. What ya think. How should I go about this.

Thanks for your help.

Here is your water objects. When you use the spline tool, to get a poly you need to freeze the spline. The river, I traced the outline then did a drill>tunnel to remove the center island. I did the same thing to the left pond. I named the land objects as subtraction objects and move them to far away layers, If you need them for texturing the land, they are there for you.

Silkrooster thanks for the effort,

What I would really like to know is is there any easier way to do this.

Maybe I should post in the feature request section.

What I think would be very helpful would be a tool to draw polys much like the pen tool, but as a spline or curve, with all the features of Magic Bevel.

Ok update here,

Turns out that LWCAD does a respectable job with this. You can make a spline then, choose curve to ploy - and there you go a amoeba shaped poly. Thanks Viktor!
