I'm importing some objects from another app into lightwave. All works fine but in the import process the surfaces are all split up into faces. Not a problem since a quick bit of point merging sorts it out no probs.

Trouble is the surface editor where the import process has 'helpfully' created a new surface for each and every pre-merged face. So I've got srf1, srf2, srf3... srf99 etc.

Is there a key shortcut to delete all these pre-generated surfaces? Can you even delete a surface once it's been created. All I seem able to do is Load/Save/Rename them. Everything except remove them..

Hm what format are you importing?

And surfaces that are not used anymore will disappear when you close and reaload the object.

Yeah, that did the the trick. Just needed to reassign all the polys to "default" texture.

Cheers! :)
