I am trying to create some mechanical tubes, in other words a tube that follows 45 or 90 degree turns when it does... I have tried to create a rail/spline along which to extrude my tube/pipe..

But, every time I do, it makes the thing curvey and flowey.. the attached image shows what I want.. I split the spline (lower curve) but what I get are two seperate curves (upper curve)..

Is there a way to get my sharp curve/rail and have it stay one piece?

Thanks..

Never mind.. did some searching and lucked out with this tidbit from the Splinegod...

In point mode select a point in the middle of the splines. Change over to poly mode and select the spline. Add a point to the spline and it will snap over the the selected point making the spline straight there.
