View Full Version : See image attached (lights/shadows on all surfaces weird!)

I can't figure out what's the problem. I've got a lot of lights (it's a night scene of a gas station), with volumetrics, and here's the result!
All surfaces get this grey spread. It reminded of something you get with area lights but here there's none!

Thanks so much for anybody with any suggestions!

I think you have to much light...and volumetrics can create weird result
if not used correct. Could we see the lightsetup?

Thanks Tiger,

I can't post a lightsetup today, but tomorrow.
So far, I can say that it renders okay (with volumetrics) when I turn off the "raytrace shadows" option (but, yes the whole light setup is then not good for me).
I tried by turning off 20 or more lights at a time and render, that didn't solve it. I still have to try with a clean scene and add them in a bit at a time. It did work at a certain point, so you are probably right when you say there's too many lights. Only the roof above has 100 point lights with volumetrics...

I'll keep my search posted!
