This is a reproduction of an art deco lamp I thought was cool.

I like this image... surprised noone else has replied!

I know it's only a lamp, but the modelling looks very nice the style of the render is not obviously CG-like.

Keep it up, post a wireframe please, and have a good easter!

I really like that design. Very nice job. If the background were different, I'm sure the star wouldn't look like it were floating - as it is, that's the only thing that caught my attention.

I would like to it lit up with out the extra lights .

Thanks for your comments, guys. I really appreciate it.

Here are some wires of the lamp, followed a rendering that shows what happens when you get rid of the extra lights.

Lardbros: Thanks for the kind review. :)

Nthused: I imagine the original designer intended for the star to look like it's floating; the chain it's suspended from is pretty small. I agree that it would be more visible under different lighting or environmental conditions, but since it's a relatively small and insignificant part of the entire image, I decided to highlight the moon, instead.

Shaol: Since this is a novelty lamp, rather than a reading lamp, it doesn't give out enough light to illuminate much around it. When I turn down the other light sources, most of the reflected environment is lost, and the metallic edges fade into the dark. This is pretty much the way it would look in real life (see below), too.
