View Full Version : Blood Cells (My first ever work)

This is my first time posting on this forum, thought I would show the only thing i've made so far. I made this in about an hour using a n00b tutorial, Lightwave 8, and Adobe PhotoshopCS. I had trouble getting the grainy texture I was looking for in Lightwave so in photoshop I gave all the cells an outter glow, and the film grain effect. I love the forum and look forward to learning alot from everyone here :D

The grainy electron microscope you were going for can be made using incedent angle gradients in coordination with bump maps etc. The amount of AA you use and the size/scale of the bump has a big afect on things...

You might want to experiment with LW's own glow feature as well. It's very flexable. I like to use DF for it though. (the image bellow uses LW's)

Good start for a "noob" though!
