Did anyone know that the DirectX exporter from DStorm contains a DDS texture plug-in?

When searching for DDS or DXT i get no really helpfull hits on Flay or this Bulletin, but apparently the ability to use DDS textures has existed for what 2 years???

When doing game levels (for Unreal for example) it's really nice to be able to use your DDS textures rather than having to convert them to TGA or IFF...if only i had found this so much earlier....

So there's an exporter but no importer?

No, it DOES import DDS/DXT files, that's the cool part...It's basically a DDS image Loader/Saver

Oh cool! This is the best news I've heard this morning. I'll try this out once I get some sleep ;)

I didn't find the DDS loader, is the link broken?

It's included in the DirectX Export plugin : http://www.dstorm.co.jp/english/plugin/object.htm#DirectX2

After extracting the zip file, it can be found in the windows directory.

Hey Red,

I needed this at home today. THANK YOU !!

It's not so obvious because a google search on Digital Storm DDS plugins will return nothing.

The trick is knowing that it's in the DirectX loader plugin.

Thank you again!
