View Full Version : Trouble applying Atlas UV to large model (200K+ polys)

I'm having trouble applying an atlas UV texture to a very large model of 200K+ polys. All other UV types go well. However when I try to apply Atlas UV, LW crashes (i.e. just disappears). Seems ok on smaller models but I have not yet found the threshold number of polys for when it works and doesn't work. Does anyone know if there is a poly limit on Atlas UVs or did I stumble upon some kind of bug?

Yes it is a registered bug. They claim it to be solved in LW 8.2.1. Have you got 8.2.1?

I installed the 8.2.1 update just the other day however LW still just says 8.2 at the top as does modeler. The About screen also only reports 8.2 and NOT 8.2.1. It says it's build 637 for modeler and 768 for layout. Do I need to try and re-install the update?

no its not really an update as opposed to a 'fix a bunch of broken plugins' patch.
all 8.2.1 is is a bunch of.p files. no changes to the core exe or dlls are made.

If you still experience difficulty with UV mapping, please mail to deuce . It will then receive proper attention.
