Hi all

On a tight deadline and am looking for a 3D model of either the Bafta award or a theatre type mask. Has anyone seen a free or commercially available one?

Cheers,

Hi

Well, this is the Bafta mask:

And at a push, something similar would be these:

I'm playing around with an .OBJ dumped out from Poser, but at the moment it's not looking stylised enough to be fair.

Cheers,

CB, I never expected anyone to actually model this up in such a short time - I really appreciate it. As you say, if I drop this into ZBrush I can add some additional detail in no time. Truth be told, after returning only last week from holiday to an almighty stack of work I'm struggling to get through, your help here has really taken some of the pressure off... thanks bud!

A gentleman and an asset to the LW community!

Major cool of you CB_3D. Thanks for reminding us how, even though Lightwave is a great tool, the Lightwave Community is even greater.

Ahh... this sounds interesting. Can you shed a little more light on the technique you used at all or is it a trade secret?

I know this is several years ago now but did you ever get/model one? I am on the search for one just now.

Cheers

I would be careful regarding copyright issues with BAFTA
I don't know whether they are bothered if people recreate it, just a heads up.
You could even make your own with a 3D printer if you had the model.

Now that it's several years later, what did the cryptic "extraction" comment mean?

I know this is even MORE years later but does anyone have a BAFTA model they don't mind sharing?

In the unlikely even that I manage to model a half decent one myself I will share it here.
