Hi
This is an issue I've been struggling with on and off for a while now. Lightwave crashes when trying to render lagre tectures.
Attached are two screen grabs showing the images in my scene.
http://www.avalonarts.co.uk/smaller.jpg
and
http://www.avalonarts.co.uk/larger.jpg
The scene with the larger image in it shows as having four images but only using 69.4 mb of memory and highlighted in red is a negitave number! Can anyone explain the differences between these two cases and possible give a solution? I actually need to be using an even larger image than this but I dont know how to get there.
Thabks in advance

Hi Lightwolf
Yes I've looked at infinimap before but the problem has always been how to get the ECW files in the first place. Dose infinimap have a converter or do you know of any photoshop converters?
thanks

You can get them at www.ermapper.com, they are limited to imagery of 500MB (Raw RGB) though.
I also have a version that supports JPEG 2000 as well, a compressor for JPEG 2000 that supports larger images should be easier to find (either commercial or as open source).

Mike

Lol... ta. I wouldn't call it service just yet. Not until I charge for the software ;)
