any thoughts on it?

just got the demo version...looks interestig with the idea that you can ik pin anything on a frame by frame basis..and can have fk and ik ...the U.I. is real sparse!...a good thing i believe..the ony thing you have to be aware of is thay it uses segments models to animate with so you'll have to breakup you models when animating them though the motion is piped back to lightwave, maya, max or xsi....

Hmm interesting indeed...anyone have a review or considered opinion on it?

there's a short review here:-

Animanium is interesting, but it's just so different. I'm sure once you use it for awhile it'll be fast and easy.

Pretty much sounds like what IKBoost does in LW.
It also has IK and FK available at the same time.
It also blends with LWs full time IK
You can have dynamics on bones or items in a hierarchy. You can detemine which parts of the hiearchy get dynamics or not.
You can record motions.
You can save/load poses and motions on a whole rig or parts of a rig.
You can pin and unpin anything anywhere at anytime.
You have also change and reconfigure the IK chain or chains on the fly.
You can also have controllers for IK chains that are outside the chain.
Theres a lot more that it does besides this. If you think animanium looks
useful then I would start learning IKBooster:)

That's a mouth full, Larry!

hehe, and they say you aren't helpful with IKB.

Only thing we lack, though, is the concept of realtime playback with the scene loaded, i.e., lotsa stuff moving about with IKB, expressions, etc... Maybe a caching system or background renderer like VT...
