I'm looking for some good tutorials on creating flying logos. I have the Hardcore Lightwave Logos video with Stutterheim, but I would like to learn more about creating logos.

This seems to be a big demand in my area since I have not other production studios close by and local tv stations have asked me to create them for their cleints. The pay is good, but it's time to up my standards and really impress people.

Any good suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi BBS-TV 21:

This site (NewTek's) has a couple Logo Animation tutorials. They're basic, but free, and can be found here:

http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/animation/video/index.html
http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/animation/logo_animation/index.html

If you're looking for commercial (not free) tutorials, Rich Helvey (of Access Hollywood fame) has a series of video tutorials called Motion Graphics for LightWave 3D that include "Flying Logo Techniques." They are sold by Desktop Images at:

http://www.desktopimages.com/

Good fortune.

The newtek tutorials were very good and I have gained a lot of experience from them and everything is going well.

Any tutorials on building my own backdrops for the logos? I've tried a few ideas from Photoshop and Auva VT, but I would like to go deeper.
