Excellent work!! I love these cars!

Great work on the wheels too.
I would also love to see a version of this covered in mud with clumps of earth in the wheels and moss on the windscreen!! :D

Great work, keep it up.

Nice job!

Do they still make these cars?

I too loved them when I lived in Europe. You could buy an old one for the price of a tank of gas. And I don't think they even used pure gas, but some combination of gas and an oily substance.

Nope, traban and WarstBurg don't exist anymore.
They have been "swallowed" by VAG I think.

They used some kind of blend mixture for "2 times engine" petrol and oil.

Das bild ist prima!!! Die Beleuchtung ist gut und est ist gut Gebaut (I mean to say modelled but don't know the German word for that).

Wie lange es nimmt machte?

Meine Eltern hatten ein von jenen gehabt.

Entschuldigung für menie Deutsche - est ist nicht gut!

Hi friends ,

that model was created in 5 Days.
As collecting main and/or proportion model I used a"low poly model" by a friend
created for a 3d realtimeengine.
The model is now a complett "subdivision surface model "
....
I am specialist for 3D illustration in Germany.
Ich work here in formats to DIN A 0.(this means 120x80 cm prints)
>dissolution> DIN A 0 >7022x4967 pixels.

enorm.Für dieses Beispiel in 1280x1024 benötigte eine 2GHZ CPU

Yeah, I remember them, and Wartburgs too. One of my cousins and my grandfather used to own Wartburgs. As far as I remember Trabants and old models of Wartburgs had two-stroke engines and had to use a mixture of gasoline and oil.. just like lawn mowers. Wartburgs had front wheel drive which was not common at that time in "eastern" Europe. I think there was a period of time in early 90' when they used VW engines in new Wartburgs, but I might be wrong.

Nice render, brings some old memories and it is in showroom condition :)
