Ok the Hub is in the temp folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.CRUSHER\Local Settings\Temp\lwhub

Ok how can I put the LWHub folder some were else ????

What I want to do is put it in a more secure place Like on my Back up hard drive.
I want to do this without upsetting the Documents and Settings folder.

It there a way of doing this ??????

Well, you can redirect the TEMP folder for the complete system to a different directy, which in turn will tell the hub to use that directory to.

Go to Workplace->Properties->Extended/Expaned->Environment Variables (I'm not 100% sure on the names here, my windows is Germany). Find the variable called temp and edit it to point to a different folder.

Next time the hub starts it will use that folder to save data. Mind you, you're complete system will use that directory for temp data as well. You might want to clean it up every now and then...

inside the file called: LWM8.CFG

there is a veriable named "TempDirectory"
Mine looks like: "TempDirectory C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp"

I think you can do what you want by changing
that to point to where you want it.

I believe there may be another entry in
the file for Layout called "LW8.CFG" as well.

Do not change your system TEMP folder unless
you want allot of stuff to start messing up! I
know... it seems like it shouldn't.. But it will!

Hi Tess, cool, I didn't know they added that in 8, I wonder if it is documented.

Cheers,
Mike - btw, no probs with temp on a different drive, I just don't like to clutter up my _profile_ with that data...

Cheers,
Mike
