View Full Version : Creating an LED

Hi all,

I'm in need of some help yet again : )

I've created a radio and need to animate the radio being switched on. I want to show an LED light up red when this happens but so far my results have been VERY poor.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Self illuminated surface with Glow applied.
Or, self illuminated surface with corona applied.
Use an envelope in the illumination channel of the surface to control when the LED goes on.

Thanks for the reply mate. I'm really sorry to be anuisance but where do i turn on the self illuminating and corona feature?

Once again i'm really sorry for asking daft questions.

Self illumination:
Surface Editor -> Basic Tab -> Luminosity

Effects -> Image Processing -> Add Image Filter -> Corona

I've tried all the things above (and thank you for the response) but i am getting awful results. My images are looking nothing like an LED. : (

Try using Glow instead. its in the advanced tab in surface editor. Don't forget to turn it on as well under image processing, or it won't work.
Alternatively look it up in the manual.
