NewTek will be presenting LightWave 3D with an emphasis on 64-bit technology at this week's Game Developer Conference in San Francisco, CA at the Moscone Center. LightWave luminary Rob Powers, who recently completed work for James Cameron's Aliens of the Deep, will be representing NewTek in a stage presentation at the AMD Booth #610 on Wednesday March 9, 2005 from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. Additionally, Rob will be presenting LightWave 64-bit at a station in the Microsoft booth on both Wednesday and Thursday. I just didn't see newtek on the list of booths.

Second me on that. I didn't see Lightwave or Newtek anywhere in sight. I believe that Newtek needs to get a presence in this scene. I am an avid Lightwave user and fan and hate arguing down Maya and Max users at these types of conferences. I believe that LW's latest update has brought the ease of making games closer, but in the open arena it's like Lightwave gets no respect!

Let's do something about that.
