I've recently got a glimps of the ZBrush modeler and I'm very impressed. Can you map or import ZBRUSH models into lightwave3d? I still want to use Lightwave as my bass program cause the render system in lightwave kicks more ***.

You can get the "ZBrush 2 Practical Guide" from www.pixologic.com (look under "resources", then "documentation"). This PDF also contains a guide on how to use ZBrush together with Lightwave. Apparently there could occur some problems, which already have been discussed in this board, too, see

Or do a search...

The Practical guide is a good tutorial for using Z-brush but I think the best thing for learning to use ZB models in LW and vice versa is this online tutorial.

You'll have to play with different texture map size settings, but if you follow this tut you can get stuff in and out of Z-Brush pretty easy.

I have built models in Z-Brush from scratch and taken them into lightwave and I have also made a LW mesh and impoted it into Zbrush then back again after details.

Its a great workflow for organic looking stuff. I threw this together in like 5 minutes. Rendered quick in F-Prime just to give you an idea.
