Hi all, me again.
If I create a fully 3D Character within LW6 or 8.5, Without Boning or Weighting etc, how is LW6/8.5's Exporting options? Does LW give you a file format which will then open up inside 3Ds Max 6, ready to then bone and weight and animate?

If so, are there any known problems when doing so?

Or does LW6//8.5 not have the abilty to move files into other 3D Applications??

Please can someone help me!

Yes LightWave can export to 3DS Max you will use the File\Export\Export 3DS. However if you see the message "3DS Export: Operation Failed - code 1 3DS Export:Polygon with 3 vertices only" this means that you have polygons that have more or less than 3 verticies. Open the Polygon Statistics and check that you only have 3 point polygons.

You might be able to keep your n-gons ( 4 points or more ) if you export a .obj and import that into Max.
