View Full Version : Exporting Options from LW to 3Ds Max 6??

Hi all, me again.
If I create a fully 3D Character within LW6 or 8.5, Without Boning or Weighting etc, how is LW6/8.5's Exporting options? Does LW give you a file format which will then open up inside 3Ds Max 6, ready to then bone and weight and animate?

If so, are there any known problems when doing so?

Or does LW6//8.5 not have the abilty to move files into other 3D Applications??

Please can someone help me!

You can save out of LightWave as an OBJ, 3DS or DXF object directly and you can also get the FBX file exporter for LightWave and importer for Max free of charge...
