One itty bitty problem is LW doesn't work like Max at all - LW doesn't use panels and buttons to do things.
So to implement something like that would require a complete reworking of how LW does anything and everything.

AFAIK, it's the same reason LW can't multiple-undo everything.

So if you want that kind of functionality, get Max and that plugin.

I think that some of the plugin's functionality could be implemented. I did not watch all of it (nice stuff btw), but some parts looked reasonably doable in current modeler by a skilled programmer.

Alot of it was shown by Proton in some of his videos on LW8

Paterns....except for texturing a rug...see no reason for it

but they sure were pressing lots of buttons :)

You can assign any or all those tools to hotkeys. All the tools are consistent whether you are working in polygon, edge or vertice mode (ie. the same "loop" hotkey selects a loop of edges, vertices or polygons depending on what mode you are in). I would love to see a comprehensive set of selection tools like this in Lightwave.

The patterns do not seem too useful to me either...
