Hey! Here's a 50's style diner interior I did for kicks...
The lighting was tricky on this one and I used several area lights and interpolated radosity...
Comments Welcome

Thanks!

Looks great. The interpolated radiosity really works well for this scene. I like the colors.

this is great. My only critique would be to tone down the lens flares on the lights. Otherwise it looks great! :)

however did you make the neon light glow on the wall and ceiling? is it a light or some weird texture trick?

i dont really know what to say, it looks great

I'm guessing he just made the purple neon texture luminescent, what with the radiosity and all. It is the easiest way, I'd say. Or maybe it's an area light? Or, perish the thought, Luxigons? ;)

The only thing that would make this picture better is if you used the render as a texture for a postcard sitting on a table in the diner, with a little bit of spilled ketchup on it and can you tell I've been up all night no sleep whatsoever good image though I like it yup.

Yea I should tone the lens flare down just a bit.... but I based this upon a photo I saw and lights were really overexposed..... had that look to it..
The neon was made with luminosity and then I put a couple of linear lights in the background..... I had some glow on it too... radiosity did the rest..

interpolated radiosity... I could never made it work.... always quits LW... strange.... and that from the begining radiosity was introduced.... ah well.... a devil lives inside my computer and sometimes he's mad... he he

very Nice image.. not too fan of those big ugly lamps, but overall very nice... !! ;)

Looks quite a bit like a place here, downtown, the Main Street Diner. Just need the checkerboard tablecloths.

Very good rendering and my only comment is that the ceiling looks flat, by that I mean the metal grid should either project out or in depending on whether it is a standard or regressed grid.

Nice work on the rest!
