I know the system requirements for LW include Windows, but I was wondering if linux could possibly handle running LW? Oh incidently here is a link to get a free year demo of the new Win XP pro 64bit operating system. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/evaluation/upgrade.mspx
I'm getting another hard driver just for this. Lets hope it delivers a good kick up the @## for LW

I suppose it's possible that LW works in Wine (http://www.winehq.com/), but don't bet on it.

thanks for that capt, i shall have a closer look at wine. I should have made myself a bit clearer though. What im looking for is a 64 bit linux OS, that will run lightwave. Probably doesnt exist but worth a try.

Wine will run in any Linux distribution, probably including 64-bit ones. LightWave still won't be 64-bit, though, and you may have problems running it. The dongle will probably cause issues.
