I would like to use a null object as a reference object to control uv texture movement. How can I do this??

I'm trying to get a texture to move and bend around curves without distortion.

Well you could probably manage to move your UVs the way you want using the UV cycler option in the texture editor...or you could abandon UV mapping and do it with endomorphs and planar mapping like this...

You can't use a null to control UV mapped textures, but you can control the apparent movement of the image across the mapped surface using the Anim UV Cycler plugin from the Textures panel.

It isn't enveloped, so you can only specify a constant velocity, but can control that independently in both U and V. A 1.0 in either input in the Options dialog means the texture will appear to move across the surface one complete cycle in that direction in a second, 2 would make it wrap twice, -1 would make it do 1 cycle but in reverse direction.

If you need more control over the timing or need to rotate or scale the texture, you would need to go the morph route.
