I work at a TV station and I frequently do animations that are sent to a Quantel Editbox. The old school editboxes, not those fancy PC based ones. Quite often I run into the problem of the animation jittering. I have tried frame based, field rendered, motion blur and combinations of each, but nothing seems to get rid of the jitter.

This mostly occurs on any kind of animated type moving horizontally to be composited over video. Which causes problems a lot in editing, but is the a way to render my frames to smooth out the motion.

Thanks for any advice you may offer.

I would recommend both field rendering and motion blur for fast moving type. For normal NTSC video you should use Odd(lower) field first.

Hope this helps.

what part of Pittsburgh are you from? I rarely see anyone from the area on these forums. (sorry to hijack the thread)
