View Full Version : Hypervoxels & Particles still broken.

I am starting to get really frustrated with lightwave and i am beginning to consider moving to Maya. i cannot do a particle HV based rocket animation. because every 3rd frame my exhaust disappears. i called newtek and they said that they don't have this problem but no matter what i try i cannot get this to work I am at the end of the line here. the goal that i am trying to achieve is to simulate the smoking before an explosion from a laser hitting a missile. in this animation the particles act totaly wonky and seem to have nothing to do with the emitter at all i have no way of even thinking about fixing this. if anybody can look at my stuff and say, no here is how you set it up, and show me what i am doing wrong the i would be glad to correct it. but im following the book and getting horrible results.

I'm interested in what was wrong with his scene file... or was there something wrong with his setup?
