View Full Version : Are there any other Hypervoxel filters available?

Besides the usual Volume, Surface, Sprite types of Hypervoxels in Lightwave are there any new or third party filters for hypervoxels?

I remember watching Chronicles of Riddick and noticed the large towers shooting those lightballs that kill everything. The Lightballs had really neat trails behind them and I was wondering how they achieved that effect?

It looks like a particle system but I haven't seen that effect in the Lightwave community.

Any thoughts?

Is Napalm or Pyro capable of making that kind of effect?

Neither of the two tools will add any new particle based rendering modes. Pyro is closed in itself and uses its own system. "Riddick" used a lot of Maya, so I wouldn't wonder.
