Sweet! I've decided that for my backpiece, I'm going to CG it, and let my artist copy it; that way, I know it'll be what I really want ;)
How long did that take?

Hello!

I like Lightwave very much and Lightwave Community but i'm thinking that puting a tatoo of comercial program on body is a litte bit crazy. Lightwave Logo is very nice and etc but what will you do when Lightwave as a programm will finish ??

Bye!!

I've seen "Crazier" things tatooed on people!
I think he's betting that LightWave will never go away, but rather just keep getting better!
I would show you mine, but I think it might be considered Internet Porn. :p

Or maybe he just likes the logo and thinks it would make a cool tatto. Considering how popular tribal tatoos are it is not that big a leap to the Lightwave Logo.

Who gives a crap if it goes away? I still like the design and everyone who sees it comments on it. It's one of the coolest designs I've ever seen. You don't get a tattoo of a logo to advertise a piece of software, you get it as an homage to something you love.

Geez.... oh well, I have the logo I used for myself, which I no longer use, on my arm. Who am I to judge?

Well if LW ever dies you can say what I say about my tattoo - it's a rememberance of a time now gone.

LOL!!! I think it may be his leg.

I have an Irish Cross on my right forearm (no religious significance, I just liked the design), but maybe I'll get a LW logo on the left arm - hell I've been using this app since day 1, so one could certainly say that I love it - although it really pisses me off sometimes! :)

Hmmm, maybe I'll get a LW logo and a Modo logo!! lol... bwaahahaha

About "tatoo" some ppl can think that i'm thinking that someone who will make tatoo of comercial program is crazy or something.
i want just say that before making such a tatoo everyone should think about it.

But still i'm thinking that making tatoo of comercial program is a litte bit crazy

Greetings.

couldn't agree more neuroup. a tat must be seriously considered. by contrast, not everyone is that serious.

consider, just for discussion, that in this country the hundreds of thousands of people who have harley-davidson tatooed on their body somewhere :) . in fact, it was this brand loyalty (admirable there and here in lw-land) that was the engine behind harley's economic re-emergence.

aar, hampuss, great artwork there. congrats!!

Do you think that LW-Users are think about this program in this same way how harleys funs are think about their machine ??

For me Amiga was great think it was such a great thing like Harley or VW. Lw also is great but my "first love" is amiga computer :)

Too show my attachment to lw i will be a t-shirt with logo and this will be great but tatoo is to much :(

Maybe Newtek should pay ppl who will make a tatoo on their body ofcourse with Lw logo. You know it will be something like life-body-adverts. :D

Matt why you are not writing anything ??

Just remember, when you wear Nike trainers, Reebok shirts, Levi jeans and drive a Porsche, you're paying for the privilege.

Granted though, NewTek doesn't sell tattoos so there's a flaw in my argument. Iím all for a appreciating the little things that keep us going, but tattoos just arenít my thing. Its looks well done nonetheless.

I came to EXACTLY that conclusion one day.
To that end, I went out and had a setup done for my logo at an embroidery store. Now, I just buy plain (meaning no logos or the like), long wear shirts and add MY {bwhhwwhhahaha} logo to the shirt: $6.00. Dress shirts, polos, sweaters, jackets...

I walk in advertisement of me and my friends.

Do you realize that probably 90% of people who have tattoos picked their tattoo out of a book at the tattoo parlor the day they got it? Which do you think is sillier, a tattoo of the LightWave logo or a tattoo of a flower on your ***? Which do you suppose has more meaning to the person who wears it? If I ever do switch to another program, I will still like the tattoo, because it's a cool design, and unless I go to SIGGRAPH, I promise you I will never meet anyone with the same tattoo.

Surely that depends on what kind of flower it is.

I promise you I will never meet anyone with the same tattoo.

Doesn't Hampuss have the same tattoo as you? :p

You're right though, its much better to have something that you have a special connection with. In the case of the LW logo, I guess that connection is with the ability to free one's expressive mind. With LightWave, you can tell any story; live any life.

p.s. I have noticed that the logos are different in your avatar picture and Hampuss' tatoo :)

Couldn't agree more. I cannot understand people getting inked from flash they saw in the tat studio. Then again, I used to do a fair share of flash back when I was in college :D

Your ink is with you for life. As long as it means something special to you, that's the important thing. Personally I'd never get a software logo done, but hey if that sort of thing is your bag baby, then go for it!

Aren't thier a couple of people with LW tattoos? including the one guy that was in the magazines or was that fake? None the less I think having an LW tattoo is better than having something like a tazmanian devil or something like similar
but to each his own. :)

One of the IT guys in my office has the MS Backoffice logo with "Microsoft" written in hexidecimal.

That reminds me of a Tshirt i have from va linux systems it reads:
The Tooth Fairy
Santa Claus
Windows 2000
(somethings you just outgrow.)

Granted not a tatoo.
