I am very happy cause I see that some old problems were solved, (like Exposer.p for instance). Also your determination and will to step on the code.
Testing the software in applications gives a different picture than reading a text-list of features.

Congratulations for the new upgrade.
:) :D ;)

I can see some extra commands for Caustics, LensFlare, Radiosity MinEvaluation Spacing.

Hmm, FPrime is getting closer :)

Thank you Newtek. :)

For those of you who haven't updated to LightWave [8] yet... what are you
waiting for?

Speaking of waiting...
Well, right now I've been waiting for more than 12 h to finish downloading from Newtek-Europe. Sadly, this morning my #@¤! XP system crashed after downloading 15MB at a lower speed than a 300baud modem. And I was not able to resume the download.
So that's what I'm waiting for at the moment...
It certainly would help if you upgraded your servers, and made it possible to download from all over the world, instead of just Europe for us who live here.
It's so slow now that it tells me it'll be finished in 4-5 days!

I cannot see them... I'm feeling stupid or insane? You decide! :D

Edit / MenuLayout

On the left side you have all the commands you can place on LW-GUI as buttons.
Having a huge lists of LensFlare Buttons, as well as Caustics Accuracy, etc etc
(these were not available before) it indicates that these commands can be remote-controlled <--- hint, hint :D

hmmm, too bad volumetric light options arent there

Panikos... nooooooo.... I've already pushed LW 8.2 to the dark-side-of-the-moon (just rendering a long bounce of pixels)... I'd should wait but I'll stop it and take another peep! :D

The new commands are LScript compliant... there's already a Thread in the LScript section... ok... I'm going to press "Esc" on my own keyboard! :p

@Miles: third great and awesome smile.

Dear Loyal LightWavers,
....Over the course of the next several months you'll see even more
progress... free updates and more bug hunting.

very good Peter.
Can we know what main feature will be added in next version? Rendering improvement(Radiosity, SSS) ?

OK. I bit :)
After resuming for the hundreth time or something in Opera it suddenly started from 0 again - and I had already downloaded more than 12MB in only 8 hours in my second attempt at getting that file.
I had some very bad experiences with download managers several years ago, so I was very reluctant to try it. Besides I already had dl'ed half the file...
But you were right. It really speeds it up, altough it also drops down to 0 quite often. At least you can follow the log and see all the times the server doesn't respond.
So far I'm already past 3MB in less than half an hour.
Extremely fast ;)
Right now it stopped for 5mins, but then it started automatically again :)
Maybe I'll eventually even be able to install today?

Keep up the good work guys! :D

Great job guys!

Now I'm off to be hard at work trying to find new ways to use Lightwave.
See ya in about a month.
