Where oh where are you finding FP 1.5 on the worley site? Please or please share your inside info! LW8.2 GREAT!!!

Thanks BeeVee,

We have a program here that poles our email accounts every 15 mins for new stuff and it did it just after the mailshot had been sent out. I started the download almost immediately but it rapidly dropped to 1.7k/s and terminated after 2.85MB.

Its currently downloading at a stunning 0.4k/s with a time to download of about 14hours over my 1MBit connection - Laugh, I nearly cried. Do you realise the last time we spoke was over a beer on the veranda at the Novotel at one of the last Amiga Format shows. Ahh life...

Hi Wade - my tag line has been like that for many months now - Not to put any pressure on Steve, but I do understand that he could not release a new version of FPrime until LW 8.2 release because of its dependancy on the new SDK elements. Worley labs will have only just started their day - and I hope they will have a gift for us too as I could really make use of some extra FPrime functionality in my current and up and coming projects. I think his efforts may warrant a 2 version no. though. Whatever comes - these are good times for wavers - with a host of new rendering technologies pushing the envelope of our favourite tool.

Here's hoping.

Well done newtek - Go worley Go Worley....

Wow some times I amaze myself. It must have been the heat of the moment and I read into what I saw what I wanted to see. You know I don't think I really read - but simple see say. I should learn Chinese or some other symbol based language.

Wade :o :)

01-18-2005, 08:35 PM
Holy Moly! I just downloaded it in 60 sec. The pdf manual doesnt seem all there yet.

01-18-2005, 09:12 PM
Done and dusted.

The pdf manual doesnt seem all there yet

Have they written a pdf for 8.2 yet?

Newtek Europe lists the pdf under "Version [8] Documentations"?

Are we talking about the same thing?

01-18-2005, 09:26 PM
Just had a V quick play with those rendering modes.

Ultra quick observation...

For previs this stuff is really amazing (try gaussian). For more intensive work?, Give me a chance, I've only had it ten minutes. :D

Thanks Newtek, one happy customer :)

01-18-2005, 10:03 PM
Its listed as a seperate download on the site, but nothing is there after the process of downloading.
