Hello, this is my first posting, but I am no stranger to lw. I wonder if anyone knows about nice sites for more resources for lightwave? I want to download whole scenes. I can not see why anyone have not put up a board for this. I think the coolest way of doing things is to share. If no one knows such a site, maybe I have to make one? I think there are more of this on other platforms and I think that is kind of annoying.

Here is a Lightwave Resource for tutorials but...I don't think they have scene files available.

The Lightwave Group webpage has alot of models and people trade scene files there some.

http://www.lwg3d.org/v3/index.php

Also, just in case. Check

www.flay.com

It has tutorials and plug ins and all sorts of stuff you can find. Use thier search engine.

I know you are probably looking for scene files and models specifically but thee are good general resources to find some of that stuff.

The http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm is very good and have been using it for some time.

I like tutorials where one can also download the content, I see no point in not including this as the work often are of a sort that are not uniqe or client dependent. I think what I liked in the past about LW (amiga days) were that the users always posted new scenes and objects, surface presets and so on. It were super cool, because when it comes down to it the thing that matters the most is to be able to make something rather fast and without spending days on finding a clever way to do it. Sometimes a project can have a budget that allows us to work for a vast amount of hours, but mainly the thing with LW is that I used to be able to do a job quicker then artists using other apps, today it is not so anymore(other than a nice spinning logo).

I find myself spending incredible much time on finding a plugin for this or that or a tutorial helping me for this problem or other and so on. Today I think alot of things in LW takes too much time.

When I went to graphic school in 1993 I knew all the software that we were to use, so I helped the other students out, this were very nice for them and me... and I have never once regretted that I have learnd away my tricks and so on...

I better put up a site with all my presets in the near future, maybe others are thinking like me and they can put up their things there as well.
