i previously posted about my hook on the end of a string project, where i want a hook to swing from the end of a string with cloth effects applied to the string.

as suggested, i parented the hook to the dynamic string object, but the hook didnt follow the dynamic motions.

what i am trying to do is get the hook to follow the motion of the string, and swing around. ive heard about motion baking or something like that but i dunno...
any help would be greatly appreciated.

also anyone know a good way to do ragdoll type physics? my current proj needs some stuffed animals floppin around.

thanks,
sean

You could use a 'skeleton' of 2 pt polys inside the doll. Apply clothfx to those and then metalink the doll to that.
You could also use Bones and bone dynamics. :)
