LightWave 8.2 Free Move UV Option

Here is a quick demo showing you a glimpse of what's to come in 8.2 for UV's. Free Move gives you the ability to move your geometry around freely in the UV Viewport without the need to unweld.

Looks like things are moving in the right direction! But, was there ever a LW 8.1? ;)

There was never an 8.1. At least there was never a publicly released 8.1, maybe NT has internal 8.1's somewhere, but I have no clue.

Guys, both of you I think are wrong, you can download 8.1 right now in the downloads section.

There was an 8.0.1, but no publicly released 8.1... Doesn't mean one wasn't made, just that it wasn't released...

I like that NT is starting to add specific functionality around the different workareas instead of adding yet another command or tool. I take it Free Move frees all instances of each UV point so it will work just as well with any transformation tool, not just the Move Tool?

When you click free move does your geometry in your viewports stay welded? or do subD objects get all funky when that is active...
