How to link an object to a softbody calculation. I recall seeing something on the forums about making a lowres cape, and connect a hires cape to it, so you'd get a fast calculation.

Does anybody has a link to that?

Parent your high poly object to your low poly object, then put the Deformation plugin 'MetaLink' on your hi obj. then it should follow the lo's motion.

any chance this only works in LW [8]?? I got 7.5c

Ah :)

Save the dynamics solution as an .mdd from motiondesigner.
Open the hi res object.
Add the displacement plugin MDmetaplug.
Open it's interface, and select the .mdd and the lo res object's file in the two plugin fields.
Lw should apply the lo res motion to the hi poly object.
