View Full Version : iMac G5 / LW8 Display Problem. Please help!

I think I've solved this problem - found a topic about it and it seems to be working OK now.

I guess the Numeric window being blank just happens sometimes.
I'm completely new to lightwave. :o

I just got Lightwave 8, and updated it to 8.0.1

I'm having problems with the display, which I think are driver related. My numeric window is totally greyed out, and sometimes the top, back, right and perspective windows appear greyed out.

I'm using a G5 iMac which has a GeForce FX 5200 graphics card, but can't find any drivers for it on Nvidia's webside. My Apple software update window isn's showing anything available either.

Can anybody please tell me how I can get this to work?
Does anybody here have LightWave 8 running on a G5 iMac?

iMac G5, 1.8GHz
nVIDIA GeForcec FX 5200 - 64MB Video Ram
LCD display, 1680x1050, 32 Bit Colour
1GB Ram
OSX 10.3.7

Thanks in advance,

The numeric window problem should be sorted for 8.2, which was due, er, last year... I'm sure we'll get it some time in January.

I just got a g5 with a 5200 in it, and I'm having similar troubles...but in layout.
When I start setting keys, some of my windows turn pink. (See attached.)

I'm just getting back into Lightwave with version 8. Is there a known issues place somewhere on the Newtek site that tracks things like this?
