I have rigged things before without using bones such as mechs but As soon as I rig using bones and IK when I have everthing parented to a null to move the character then things start twitching and moving that I dont want to move. The only way I can prevent it is to use FK intead of IK. IS there something I can do to prevent this? I want to be able move my rig using a null (Main Mover) and IK without things jerking around on me. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks.

One immediate suggestion is to limit which rotations are controled by IK. I assume you have already done this. Hard to give you more without knowing more about your setup.
