Yes. Select the bone and apply Align Pitch.

yeah - did that. Didn't change a thing - the pitch of the child bone and parent bone are still unaligned.

make sure autokey is turned on before you run the plug

still nothing. It jumps to the next bone and didn't change a thing - am I missing a step?

are all of the bones "rested" before you run the plug? Are you using targeting or expressions?... anything other than IK?

yeah. Everything's good. Nothing out of the ordinary. In fact this particular skeleton is a spine. The last 3 bones' pitch is out of wack. Also the spine is controlled by FK.

can you post the rig?

you mean a pic or the actual rig?

the rig,.. or just the scene,.. no objects.

hope this works. I swapped out the real model for a box, but realized that wasn't necessary anyway - but the scene will be looking for a box object to attach the skeleton to so anything will do.

well,.. align pitch worked fine here. I started with the main dorsal bone. You might want to try removing the plug and re-adding.

well - now I know the problem. In the LW help file for Align Pitch it says to select the child bone, nothing about selecting the parent bone first. After you said you started with the dorsal bone first I tried that - no problem. Jeesh. Thanks for your help. :)
