View Full Version : Rendering problem - reflection ?

It seems to be some problem with reflections in lw. I have't got any shaders, image/pixel filters turned on, surface has controlled reflection by an image, without that "control image" reflections seems to be ok.

Both those images seem to have black marks on them...

What exactly are you doing with this 'control image'?

Have you checked for non-planar polygons, and done merge points/unified polys?

I just mean texture on diffuse channel

geometry is ok, but even ehen geometry would not be ok, that black marks should not appear

If you're controlling the difuse channel, and it takes it down too low, it will create the black marks you're referencing.

what do You mean by "it takes it down too low" ?

Are you by any chance using the BRDF shader and ray-tracing reflection at the same time? There is a conflict with these two that will give you black marks, it's a bug, and there's no easy/quick workaround - you'll have to render the two separately, or use something else to get the BRDF look.

Bad geometry can give you smoothing errors, and black marks when you ray-trace shadows, but that doesn't look like your problem - but if you're ray-tracing shadows try turning that off and see -

U'r right! My fault, there was BDRF shader.. I have forgot about it
