I am in the early stages of a radiosity solution which I have attached - any critique most welcome.
Does this image look 'misty' why?
I have also attached two details which show lighting anomolies between wall and ceiling junctions, can anybody please explain these happenings or better still let me know how to work around them.

I'd check the geometry for possible 'light leaks' - either:

a) make sure the points are fully welded in those areas

b) the geometry fully intesects with each other

c) or the walls have some thickness (not single-sided polygons facing one way).

matt's tips should fix it.

(if you don't want to change the geometry, I think another way to fix that is
to increase the shadow map resolution of your sun or use a raytrace shadow (from distant or area for example..)

it looks good overall, how long did it take to render ?

thanks guys,
I did a number of experiments.....seems to me the best solution was to extrude vertically on the y axis the single poly ( first floor ) ceiling geometry into a solid object (thanks matt). the walls where incidently already solid geometry - problem solved, no light leakage!
JML - shadow map value made no difference to the light leakage even with obscene 30000 shadow map value confined to effected area only.
incidently it was a 45minute render at around 3000 x cirac 1500pxl.
I however need to render at 5000pxl width x pro-rata. - no problem methinks im sure my puter spec is well capable.
Once again guys im pulled from the fire in the forum of the pheonix.
regards
Neil
