View Full Version : Unexplained slowdown in re-draw

Running LW 7.5 on 2 systems:

1) Desktop - 1.8 gHz, WinXP Pro, 512 megs RAM, ASUS TI4200 (Maddog) GeForce 4, 128 onboard RAM, 8x AGP

2) laptop - 2.4 gHz, WinXP Pro, 1 gig DDR RAM, ATI 9700 64 megs RAM

On an object with 3800 polys in Modeler, trying to rotate, size or position causes the entire action to slow to a crawl.

textures set to 128 resolution. Same thing happens with Smooth Shade set in PV but not if wireframe.

On another object with more ploys - no problem.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Have you tried updating to the latest drivers or reinstalling you current ones? I am not certain but maybe this will help.

Like oxyg3n said, i think updating your graphics card drivers are the best bet. Iv only ever once had slow redraw problems and it was after installing windows xp and using the drivers that windows installed during the instalation, once i installed the propper ones it was fine.
