View Full Version : split poly between points

Hi all,

Im just wondering if there is an easy way to split a poly from one point to another?

if I have created a flat disk and want to split it into two poly's I could use the knife tool and drag across its face. The problem with this is it will give me extra points where I have cut through the poly lines when I really want the devision to be between existing points. I know I could just merge points afterwards but was just wondering if there is a more direct way of achieving this.

Well you could use Edgetool (if you're using 8) and select a handle on each edge then drag the handle to the point at the end. There's also Supersplit, available on www.flay.com which allows you to do exactly as you describe, select each point and super split the poly between them.

The normal split tool is faffy for this, you have to select the poly you want to split, then each point you want it to be split by....
