Hi,

I have a couple of posts in this other thread.
http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?p=231379&posted=1#post231379

Created this one so that the issue has more visibility.

Currently my VT4 install is not able to play / load MPEG2 files. However WMP9 in the same computer can play the files just fine.

Have contated support, awaiting their response. Will try to see if the suggestion Jim posted works. convert to DV2 type 2 without placing in VTEdit.

What is puzzling is that if WMP9 can play the file, and if VT4 uses the same codecs installed in the machine, why then my VT4 cannot play the same file.

Any of you have similar situations?

You might also want to do a search here for mpeg2, playback etc.

Lotsa gab gone on about it.

No luck
Right click on file, select render/convert VT4 crashes.

The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 11/30/2004 @ 01:20:21.078 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 196229F9 (<nosymbols>)

I would expect VT4 to give an error popup instead of crashing the whole app.
